Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice has launched its biggest annual fundraising event with an appeal to women to step out for a celestial strut around the city.

This year we are delighted that the pilgrimage will be led by our new Archbishop who is most supportive of our mission and invites the people of the Diocese to join him in what is considered a wonderful event in the Diocesan calendar.

The Spirit of Christmas

Birmingham City Council’s Museum and Art Gallery celebrated the true spirit of Christmas with the return of the Nativity Art Trail through its galleries and Father Christmas from 28 November.

Sr Sabina, (aged 81), Daughter of St Paul, Selly Park was awarded an MBE on Tuesday 28 October for her work with Fireside a charity which works alongside those who are socially excluded or disadvantaged. Sr Sabina, now works in a fund raising and public relations role but is a founding member of the charity which addresses alcohol issues,  homelessness as well as empowering and supporting people to meet their short and long term goals.
